It is the time of year where all of the subcontractors and
suppliers with whom we do business send holiday cheers in the form of baskets
full of cookies and treats and sweets.
Used to be it was mostly booze, but changing times lead the trend away
from booze, which was a treat that we all appreciated, to baskets full of
double chocolate chip cookies and toffee and peanut brittle, which we all more
or less consider to be the devil, because we all appreciate it a little too
much.
I mean, seriously, there are double chocolate chip cookies
with peppermint bark chunks in them right outside my office. What tempting sorcery is this?
Oh, hell, I’ll just eat one…
Right?
